Net-Zero Energy Districts: A Promising Piece of New York’s Energy Puzzle
Limited Capacity filling up

Net-Zero Energy Districts - A Promising Piece of New York’s Energy Puzzle
In recent years, communities have shifted their focus from net-zero buildings to net-zero energy districts. Also in a New York context, district thinking may well become instrumental for New York to achieve the renewable integration and energy efficiency goals of REV. Net-zero energy districts can be highly suitable for densely occupied areas, such as urban zones, campuses or manufacturing sites.

This event will take a deep dive into the advantages and possibilities to approach energy at larger scales. More so, energy districts can deliver exceptional energy performance and create communities that are more livable, resilient, and environmentally sustainable. Through two consecutive panel discussions with industry leaders, participants will obtain hands-on and case-based insight into how holistic planning and integration of renewable energy sources and high-performance intelligent buildings can lead to net-zero energy districts.

3.30pm Opening Remarks
4:00pm Panel Debate Optimized District Energy Master Planning
5.15pm Panel Debate Obtaining Exceptional Building Performance
6:15pm Closing Remarks

6.30pm Reception & Happy Hour @Urban Future Lab (depart to 15 Metrotech Center)
